This is a piece I wrote last year. I forgot about it but wanted to share it when it popped up on my computer. Enjoy! :)
My Ha, My Hero
My strong, brave grandma has created a path of life for me to follow. She has not only
taught me many ways to get through life but to also enjoy each step along the way.
From my artistic grandmother, I have learned how to draw 3D figures, cubes and boxes, circles and spheres. I learned how to knit, our needles clinking together in sync.

From my hardworking grandma I have learned how to throw bubbles while washing the dishes. How to dance while mopping the floors on my knees. To perfectly bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies or a warm cherry pie. Most of all, she has taught me that baking is a way to show love. From my competitive grandma I have learned how to play greedy with dice and solitaire with cards. The games she taught me help me with bigger things in school and life like being able to always lose gracefully or win and act humble.
From my loving and positive grandma I've learned how to have fun, be happy, and all the important life lessons I need to know. She has formed a whole new part of my life and I will always be connected with Ha by all of our experiences together.
