Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Day 18 of Quarantine: Stay Motivated Total cases (US): 244877 Total deaths(US): 6070
Two days ago I filmed an entire video on my quarantine routine and I was planning on sharing it with you yesterday. As it is STILL uploading due to the heavy internet traffic, I have whipped up a little wisdom for you to read. Maybe you will have the video in your inbox later today and maybe not. Thanks for being patient! 🤞🤞
Ask yourself:
"What do I want to get out of this time?"
Usually, Sundays are a day of resting and preparing for the week. You might go grocery shopping or plan out your schedule. The tasks may be boring but they are essential and a nice lazy Sunday usually results in a productive week. I like to think of this break, vacation, quarantine (whatever it might be), as a giant Sunday in your life. Maybe the next few years represent your "week" or maybe the rest of your life. Now is your time to organize the mind and rest your spirit. Maybe your goal is to be more connected with family or to find yourself.
Even if you were already feeling put together before the virus hit, things can ALWAYS improve! No excuses. If you feel that you are very joyous and happy, take this time to be gentle and appreciate yourself and maybe you will come out feeling even better!
I encourage you to work at things, it is so important. I have already talked about this but set goals! Make routines! This time can bring wisdom and help you gain a better understanding of things. Big and small, connected and far. What are you going to say when you look back on this time in 5 years? How do you want to remember it?
Even if you are so overwhelmed and just trying to get by, you can still learn a lesson. It may be as simple as not taking things for granted. You got this!
Stay motivated,
Ava
Yes, Ava. Trying to focus on the positive and the gifts we have been given is so important! Thanks for the reminder of all we have to be grateful for.
Love this Ava. Thank you
So inspiring and helpful. Your blog never fails to lift my spirits and encourage me. Your suggestions motivate me to positive actions. Thank you.
I am also very appreciative of your positive exhortations, Ava. Realizing that we are doing things to “progress” is itself such a positive thing, and awareness of forward progress becomes, eventually, self-sustaining momentum. “What do I want to get out of this time?” is a question that truly aids that effort and we will all do well to think hard about your question. If we are committed enough to come up with an answer and then take steps to accomplish what the answer demands, we will be richly rewarded. Thank you as always for the spark of your thoughts.
I really like your positive message today, Ava. Sometimes, I get so frustrated with our DC Administration that it takes over my fingers when I put them on the keyboard. Thanks for the idea to reset.
