Hey people! Some of you know this, but one of my favorite plays, musicals, soundtrack, etc. is Hamilton. Not only am I a big fan of Lin-Manuel Miranda, (the writer and original Hamilton) but I am amazed by the incredible cast and their positive messages on and off the stage. I happened upon a video of Jon Krasinski zooming with the Hamilton cast. This is ironic because a few days ago, one of my fellow blog readers, Bob, shared my blog with John Krasinski. Here are some of my favorite songs from Hamilton and I encourage you to give them a listen: Alexander Hamilton: The classic and amazing song that tells the story of Hamilton’s beginning.
Aaron Burr, Sir: I love the beat and style of this song. When I was probably 10 years old, I was very into making music videos, mainly to Hamilton. Here is a slightly embarrassing video of me singing to this song: https://youtu.be/A3tqcss_5uY
My Shot: An inspirational song about making the most of your life.

The Schuyler Sisters: One of my favorites, mostly because of the singing.
You’ll Be Back: This song will have you laughing and is sung perfectly by one of my favorite actors, Johnathan Groff.
Non-Stop: This is one of Kate Svoboda’s favorite songs. She is a very talented actress and happens to be my second cousin. ☺️
Helpless and Satisfied: I have merged these two songs together because they both talk of Hamilton from a woman’s perspective.
Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story: This is the final song in the soundtrack and brings me to tears. It wraps the entire musical up and talks about real life. The point of this song is that “history has its eyes on you,” which is a major lyric in many songs. Miranda is trying to tell the listeners and audience that today will soon be history and we are a part of it. We can use this song to drive us forward in making today the best it can be. In 100 years, how do we want the future to remember us and this time? Miranda wants young people to use the lyrics in this song as their hope and meaning towards perseverance.
There are 46 songs and if I were to randomly choose one song, I would fall in love with it all over again.

I hope you took a look at the moon last night! It was really cool! (Yes, I was eating a popsicle because that is what we do in Colorado.) :)
Stay theatrical,
Ava

I love your 10 year old lip sink. Thanks for the cheer and advice, and great music tips. I have not seen Hamilton. But I will look up the sound track.
"Immigrants, they get the job done!" is my fave. Especially timely now that we are all finally understanding the value of our essential workers and those who get up early and stay late every day making sure we can care for our families and have the necessities and luxuries we "need"! Thanks for the reminder! I have the soundtrack on now.
Hi Ava, love the writing.... love the video (had not seen it! great stuff)
