Day 37 of Quarantine: Stay Grateful
Total cases (US): 818744
Total deaths(US): 45318
Governer Polis will be coming to our county this week to reopen parts of the community. Eagle County was one of the first places to be shut down and it will soon be one of the first to open. Instead of "stay at home" orders it will be "safer at home." This means everyday errands are okay but parties and gatherings are still not advised.
What is the first thing you are going to do when it is all over? When it is all over. That seems weird to say. But seriously, what is the first thing you are going to wear? When restaurants open, where is the first place you will eat? I actually really enjoyed the break. It was nice to catch up on life and now that it is over, I feel as if I still have things to accomplish.
On the other hand, I am going to try and have a lot of fun this summer by being very outgoing and busy. It will probably exhaust me at some point but whatever. I'm not in quarantine anymore and I'm ready for some activity.
I am grateful for the time to write on my blog, something that has been put aside for a while. I am grateful for having time to clean my room, bathroom, and closet because that has given me an amazing feeling.
I am grateful for my teachers who work hard every day to keep us on track.
I am grateful for my blog readers who encourage me to keep writing. When this is all over, I don't think I will be able to write every day but I will certainly keep going and write each week or so.
I would also like to mention that today is Earth Day. I encourage you to be the change and make some change! Please and thank you!
Here is a link to a letter that I wrote in 6th grade to our planet and some of my favorite pictures that I have taken of our Earth: https://avagarrison.wixsite.com/blogjellyfish/post/dear-mother-earth
Stay grateful,
Ava
I love your photos. And I think you still have a bit longer for the Shelter in place, or Safer at home. This virus is still pretty active. I hope your summer trips are fantastic.
Happy Earth Day Ava. How pleased your ant Jane would be that you continue to fine ways to build awareness that we need to take care of our planet. 🌎
great job Ava! love the pics!
Beautiful, Ava. Your photography is as beautiful as your words and as your soul. Thanks for sharing and motivating!
I think that this day is the most important day of every year and that it should be celebrated by being declared a holiday. We would all be off work so we could join environmental action groups to get outside, whether it's to hike and explore or to clean up. And I think that a couple of your photos should be emblematic of the day. They're perfect. My favorite is you in the snowfall. Reed?
